The tour starts in Puerto Montt and Puerto Varas, until reaching the city of Llanquihue, famous for its cecinas (type of sausage); this is the lake’s drainage basin and source of Maullín River.

From there, Lake Llanquihue will be skirted heading towards Frutillar on the old route of settlers. The monument to the German Settlers and other attractions in the region will be visited.

In Frutillar, the group can visit the Colonial Museum. It is also possible to stroll along the coastal road and enjoy the landscape: the view of volcanoes Calbuco, Osorno, Puntiagudo, and Puyehue; gardens and typical houses of the German Colony.

The tour then takes route 5 to return to Puerto Montt, where it ends.
