Address: Pedro de Mendoza 1821 – La Boca
It was inaugurated in 1971, with room for up to 700 people, this theater owes its existence to Quinquela Martin, who donated it in order to found a theater that could be available for a whole week to different entities wishing to develop their art activities.
It has high value due to the huge paintings by Quinquela Martin displayed in it.
It hosted a choir, a theater association for children, and concerts, conferences and exhibitions took place there as a result of the contribution of many artists.
Nowadays, it still functions as a theater, with an “under” and experimental program of high quality, and it is part of the “Complejo Teatral de Buenos Aires”, which is administrated by the city’s Culture Bureau.
