Address: Aimé Painé entre Rosario Vera Peñaloza y Azucena Villaflor s/n – Puerto Madero
This 7-hectare park was inaugurated at the beginning of 2003. It is bound, on one side, by an area of docks and channels on which an exclusive tourist circuit was built early in the 80’s, dominated by luxurious restaurants, office buildings and prestigious hotels. On the other side is the walk along the Costanera Sur on the shores of Río de la Plata, visited by middle classes from different parts of the city, and also by popular classes of the Conurbano Sur. Interestingly, the park is located at the intersection of two different sociological spaces that are exceptionally mixed.
The park layout is defined by three stone-wall slopes, which mark out three vital spaces: Plaza de los Niños, Rosedal del Sur, and Plaza del Sol. Plaza de los Niños is an area comprising wooden kids’ games of innovative design. In Plaza del Sol, wood decks have been installed for people to sit down or rest and sunbathe. Around 40,000 trees belonging to over 150 different species have been planted, thus making up woods and tree lines.
Tazz Salguero / Serrano / SOHO
Besides the classic Plaza Serrano bar, another two new bars have been opened in Costa Salguero and Palermo SOHO, both of which maintain their predecessor’s essence. Among entertainment options, the three bars offer pool tables and table foosball, but the Costa Salguero bar also incorporates bowling greens. Long bars to order drinks, modern furniture, and good international music are the shared features.
