Address: Av de Mayo 525 – Monserrat
This is the seat of the city’s executive power, and consists of a French academicism building, even if it reveals Italian influence as well. It was constructed between 1891 and 1902 by the Italian architect Giovanni Cagnoni.
There are two highly valuable works inside of it: “Preparativos de Salida”, by Benito Quinquela Martin, and “La Fundación de Buenos Aires”, by J. Moreno Carbonero.
