Address: Av. Juramento 2291 – Belgrano
It is located in the heart of Belgrano, the former place par excellence for summer properties. In the centre, there is a beautiful and original Andalusian patio, surrounded by the different halls. Its name points at the writer Enrique Larreta as its mentor, a fan of Spanish art and literature, who contributed a large collection of works produced from Medieval times on, among them important wood carvings, furniture, paintings and other types of objects of value for Spanish art during the referred period. The City authorities acquired it in 1961, and reopened it as the MUSEO DE ARTE ESPAÑOL in 1962. It opens on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays from 3pm to 7pm, and on weekends and holidays from 3pm to 7:45pm. It offers daily guided visits. Consulting the schedule is recommended.
