It opened to honour Professor Bernardo Houssay, 1947 Nobel Prize in Medicine and Physiology for his research on the processing of carbohydrate in metabolism and hypophysis, which was continued by Luis Federico Leloir, 1970 Nobel Prize in Medicine. This museum is administrated by the School of Medical Studies of UBA (University of Buenos Aires). It entails everything related to biomedical research, specially Physiology, and keeps the tools used by Houssay for his research work, as well a doctor’s office in the way it used to be in the ‘30s.
