Address: Bolívar 225 – Monserrat
This is the oldest church in the city and it is part of the “Manzana de las luces”. This church is the result of the Jesuit, Krauss and of the Italians, Bianchi and Prímoli. It has a principal nave and a transept; each has five chapels and a rectangle-shaped apse. The façade shows baroque influences that were imposed by the Jesuits. It witnessed the inauguration of the University of Buenos Aires.
