Address: Paseo Colon 850 – San Telmo
This is a building of a monumental neoclassic style – a replica of the Law School – where the most important courses of study are offered, such as Civil, Electronic, and Industrial Engineering among many others.
This is the result of a State architectonic conception of the 40s and the 50s that made buildings that represented a powerful government.
The “Fundación de Ayuda Social Eva Perón” (the Eva Perón Organization for Social Welfare) that worked specially for the most needed sectors of society functioned there.
Afterwards, it became the seat of the Engineering University and it was subject to modifications in its façade. The Doric columns with ten statues that crowned its imposing entrance were removed and the new style was still monumental but it gave a plain touch to its academic mission.
