The visit to Estancia Harberton is of great historical value. Estancia Harberton was founded in 1886 by the Anglican missionary Thomas Bridges.
It is located 85 km. Ushuaia, eastbound. It is accessible by land through National Route N º 3 (paved) and then the complementary road J (gravel). It can also be accessed from the sea.
Its current owners are the descendants of Thomas Bridges. You can visit the Museum Acatushún, with skeletons of birds and mammals of the American south end, the ranch house, which is a National Historic Landmark and take guided walks.
Also from here you can access Martillo Island, where the largest penguin rookery in the area is located.
