Address: Av. Ramos Mejía 1358 – Retiro
The Retiro station is the train terminal that communicates the city of Buenos Aires with the Northern part of the province. Inaugurated in 1915 during the heat of the farm-cattle growth of the country, and the paroxysm of the railway apogee, it was conceived in the style of the great European terminals.
Its characteristics of style, dimensions and technology of outpost led it to become, during many years, the most important terminal in Latin America. It was projected by the architect named Conder, and is characterized for his design of domes of French style, and its neoclassic style. It contains elements of metallic structure on the platforms that were imported from Great Britain.
