AgroTourism in the Mid Valley of Negro River

The Mid Valley of Negro River is a synonym of agrotourism due to the diversity of activities related to fruit and horticultural exploitation in the area. You will be able to visit wineries, packing centers, cold stores and craft establishments for preserves and confectionery.

PICHI LAUQUEN

Located at 25 km. from Choele Choel on Route 250 with a 3km. gravel road access. There are 100 hectares dedicated to cattle raising, agriculture and apiculture. You will be able to stay at the colonial style house and enjoy the pool, the gastronomy and coffee shop services.

During your stay you can enjoy a sulky ride, walks and canoeing on a beautiful lagoon which is also an important bird sanctuary.

SAN JAVIER

5 km. from Chimpay with a totally paved access, is a 50-hectare farm dedicated to fruit culture. The house facilities are modern and surrounded by trees. They have their own vegetable and fruit garden for consumption and elaboration of marmalades.

Lodging with meals is available year round and it is possible to practice retreat.

ISLA LA ESMERALDA

16 km. from Choele Choel and 6 km. from Fray Luis Beltrán. The access is by raft. Two hundred hectares of a richly flowered park.

Camping is available and lodging with meals is also offered. There is an ecological vegetable and fruit garden for the production of their own confectionery and processed meats. A pleasure for your palate.

You can practice canoeing, fishing and excursions on horseback or motorboat.

ISLA LOS ALAZANES

Situated on the estuary of the Río Negro at 73 km. from Choele Choel. It can be accessed by boat from Route 250. It is a wild environment and in contact with wild fauna (guanacos, partridge, chartos, etc.). The capacity is 8 eight people and is open year round. Photographic safaris and hunting parties are organized, as long as you hold a hunting licence.

PARADOR EL JABALÍ

A farm with a great number of animals: foxes, maras, rabbits, wild boar and goats. It is on Route 250 at the access to Luis Beltrán.

SAN CEFERINO

Situated in the farm sector of Luis Beltrán at 22 km. from the Choele Choel urban center. 44 hectares with 1,500 m. coast line, where you will be able to practice fishing atherines and perch. The Italian style house offers lodging and the possibility of enjoying homemade meals.

If you have kids, there is a recreation area for children and a pool. Their specialty is the famous “guindado”, a liquor made with cherries from their crop.

LA MEDIA LUNA

LA FORESTAL

Experimental farm located in Fray Luis Beltrán, 12 km. from Choele Choel. There are 100 hectares dedicated to cattle raising, agriculture, fruit and horticulture, apiculture, aviculture, winery and milk production.
