It was created in 1914 by the landscaper Carlos Thays. This is the core of 3 de Febrero Park, and contains over 12000 rose plants.
In addition, there are very interesting places in it such as the Andalusian Patio (donated by Seville in 1929), the White Bridge that crosses over the lake, the arbor covered in creeper roses, and the Patio de los Poetas (patio of poets), where the busts of Jorge Luis Borges, Alfonsina Storni, Antonio Machado and William Shakespeare stand out, among others.
