This ship of elegant style was built in England upon request of the national government in 1988 and its name pays homage to whom founded the Navy School in 1872. It was at its service for 4 decades. Nowadays it is anchored on Dique 3 (dock) in Puerto Madero since 1994 and it is open for visitors.
It was present on several historical events such as king’s coronations and in the inauguration of the Panama Channel. You will find a collection of curious objects in its interior among which you will find a stone that belonged to the Great Wall of China.
