Address: Tristán Achaval Rodríguez 1550 – Costanera Sur
During the 70s nature and its fauna and flora gained lands to the river without the intervention of men. In 1986 the city government of Buenos Aires labeled it as “Ecologic Reserve” and it took the responsibility of its preservation in the 350 hectares it occupies. From there on it became one of the places of choice to go running or to walk in a true green space located only a few minutes away from the city center. Although it has been through several fires, it still keeps its flora and fauna, where there are different species of birds, mammals and reptiles within the big pastures and clumps and forests of alders and willows. The idea of a promenade developed around the reserve and it turned into a new zone that receives the name of “Costanera Sur”.
The reserve does offer the guided tours service that can be taken in the morning and during the afternoon.
