Address: Av. Córdoba 6056 – Chacarita
This building corresponds to the Spanish baroque style, and is located right between Chacarita and Colegiales. It is part of the “Complejo Teatral de Buenos Aires”. It was inaugurated in 1929, with the peculiarity of having a movable roof, (in fashion in the ‘30s and ‘40s), aiming at protecting the room from the summer heats. It owes its name to a neighbor who intended to promote culture in the area. Later, it became part of the movie theaters chain belonging to the businessman Lococo, being finally handed over to the City.
