It was conceived by the poet Horacio Ferrer, creator of the National Tango Academy, it is located in the academic epicenter, on the top level of “El Tortoni” Café, though the entrance is on Rivadavia Avenue.
It goes all through the history of tango in periods written by the hand of this poet, historian and tango buff. It displays historic objects that once belonged to the icons of the genre, and a set of scores, original record covers, handwritings, and objects and CDs from more modern tango artists and trends.
It also displays gigantic posters of the greatest Masters of the 2×4, taken by Anne Marie Henrich.
It also has a stage that hosts performances of different tango styles.
