The Cuyo region is located in the central western area of Argentina, and comprises the following provinces: Mendoza, San Luis, San Juan and La Rioja (the latter having been incorporated in 1988 to form the New Cuyo).
The highest peaks in all the Andes mountain range, a superb wine production, landscapes of imposing beauty such as the Valley of the Moon are just some of the highlights of Cuyo.
Mendoza is the most important city in this region acting as gateway to this world of high mountains -a true paradise for skiing lovers by the way- and those adventurers who, year after year, try to reach to the top of the Aconcagua.
