Family Home of “Che” Guevara

In the town of Caraguatay, 135 km from Puerto Iguazú, you will find the “Ernesto Che Guevara” Provincial Park. This 18 hectare area is known as the “Solar del Che” and is unique for many reasons. In addition to having a historical-cultural value for its connection to the legendary revolutionary, it also has a beautiful view of the Paraná River and the Caraguatay Island. All walks are escorted by guides and have a low level of difficulty. This walks let the visitor behold some interesting sights: Che’s house, the Salamanca stream, the “Pileta,” the “Giants”; all of them with the spectacular view of the Paraná River with its great water volume. The lush greenery contrasts with the red earth. There are many features preserved from the days of the Guevara family (1928). The excursions are during the morning, and last about 5 hours.
