Fishing in Patagonia
Requirements
In Atlantic and Central
Patagonia a licence is not required for sports fishing and there are no restrictions.
Otherwise, there are regulations in the Andean
zone and Tierra del Fuego. The
fishing season for the Provinces of Neuquén, Chubut and Río Negro
is from the middle of November to the middle of April, each year. The
licence is for lakes and rivers in these three provinces. For the
Provinces of Santa Cruz and Tierra del Fuego, a different licence is required,
where season opens the last days of November and closes at the end of March.
For all cases, the purchase of a fishing licence is mandatory and
is available in sports shops or in the municipalities of different
locations; also in Buenos Aires at the National Parks Administration
